HFLSM: High Field Laboratory for Superconducting Materials

Proposal Areas

Outline

The High Field Laboratory for Superconducting Materials at Institute for Materials Research is the center for basic and applied research for innovative materials including magnetic, superconducting, semiconducting and dielectric materials under high magnetic fields. The primary instruments are the world’s highest 25 T cryogen-free superconducting magnet and a hybrid magnet. The latter is one of five such magnets worldwide. There are also varieties of cryogen-free and conventional superconducting magnets, which are available for use in GIMRT user programs.
